Dragon Boating

Our 40-foot dragon boat has room for 20 paddlers. Join the TRPC Mercenaries for camaraderie, teamwork, fitness and fun! Dragon boat practices take place one evening per week (for now).

Insurance

All paddlers with TRPC must sign a Paddle Canada waiver to ensure they are covered by their insurance program.

The Sports Accident policy is structured to provide a core level of coverage and benefits with a principal sum of $50,000 per member.

This broad coverage will cover the member for loss of limbs, fracture, dislocation, tendon severance of limbs, loss of eye sight, speech, and many other miscellaneous conditions and even accidental bodily injury or death sustained by a member due to external violent, sudden, fortuitous causes beyond the member’s control.

Association Excursion & Event Insurance:

  • $5 Million Comprehensive General Liability Insurance (CGL – i.e. Third Party Liability Insurance) with no aggregate limit. *
  • Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions – Defence Cost Insurance)*
  • $50,000 Sport Accident Insurance (1st Party Coverage) to all leaders and members and association volunteers
  • Provides coverage for on-water activities and also off-water activities (events) such as banquets, fundraisers, trade shows, and meetings (provided PC Paddling Association membership policies are met and abided by)
  • Preferred access to out of country medical / Travel Insurance (optional for international association trips). *
  • $500 deductible per claim
