The boathouse will be open for members to sign out equipment and for rentals on Saturdays and Sundays only until September 27.

The Dragon Boat team will continue to go out on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Rec Rowing will continue based on individual schedules.

Join us for our Special Glow Paddle Event on September 25. This is part of the City of Quinte West Culture Days and is free to participate for members and people with their own paddling equipment.

Kayak Launch Reinstalled.

After a long wait and some determinism from Mike, the Kayak launch has been reinstalled at the TRPC dock. Many members have asked throughout the season if we will have the launch back in the water this year. TRPC is happy to have this tool back for the rest of the summer and hopefully many more to come.

Dragon Boating Changes

Due to the number of participants dragon boating on Mondays will only be one practice apposed to sessions for beginners and separate practices for more advanced paddlers. Practices will be at 5:45pm at the Trenton Port Marina until further notice for all TRPC Dragon Boaters.

Get Out on the Water with the Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club This Summer

Quinte West, ON — The Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club (TRPC) is excited to welcome the community back for its 2025 “On Water” season. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or new to water sports, TRPC invites you to explore the many opportunities the club offers.

Now in its 12th year, TRPC is a thriving not-for-profit organization dedicated to introducing individuals of all ages to non-motorized water sports. From stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) and kayaking to canoeing, rowing, and even dragon boating, there’s something for everyone.

With over 25 pieces of equipment available, members enjoy unlimited access to SUPs, kayaks, and canoes whenever the boathouse is open—Wednesday through Sunday. It’s the perfect way to make the most of summer on the water.

Interested in dragon boating? Beginners are welcome to try a free session—no equipment or experience required. The dragon boat practices take place on Monday evenings from the Trent Port Marina and offer sessions for two levels of experience.

For those with prior rowing experience, TRPC offers recreational rowing opportunities. And for newcomers, the five-week Learn to Row course is open for registration. For $200, participants receive expert instruction and club membership, with sessions arranged directly with the coach.

Not a member? No problem. TRPC offers rentals to non-members and visitors who want to enjoy the Trent River and beautiful Bay of Quinte without committing to a membership. Rentals are available Wednesday to Sunday in July and August and can be booked online or on-site. SUPs, kayaks, and canoes are all available with a $20 booking fee applied toward the rental cost. Reservations can be made at www.trentonrowingandpaddling.ca.

Memberships are just $125 and grant full access to all club equipment—ideal for individuals interested in multiple activities. You can purchase memberships online or in person at the boathouse during regular hours: Wednesday to Friday, 1 PM–7 PM, and weekends from 10 AM–4 PM, running from June through Labour Day.

Dragon Boating Info

Dragon boating is scheduled to start Monday June 16th. All levels of experience will practice from 5:45pm-6:45pm. Participants will meet at the Trenton Port Marina, ready to board.

The first there practices will determine the practice times and the coaches and captains will then decide which group the paddlers will go to for the remainder of the practices.

July 7th will be the start of separate practices for skilled(5:45pm) and beginner (7pm) boaters.

2025 Preparations Under Way! Memberships available at 2024 prices!

The Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club is now open for 2025 registrations for rowing, paddling and dragon boating.

Price per membership remains at the 2024 rates as we want to make our activities and equipment available to as many families as possible.

All memberships are $125 including HST, discounts available for children, youth and additional family members.

When you purchase any of our memberships this gives you access to all three area of activities: rowing (for those experienced or have gone through our Learn to Row program), paddling (canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards) and our dragon boat team.

Unlimited use of club equipment is free for all members.
